Jeremy O. Torres Emergency Stabilization Fund

We realize that students who identify as gender and sexual minorities may experience unforeseen financial crises that could negatively impact their well-being and/or ability to stay enrolled at Texas State University. In the event of such crises, our goal is to provide limited financial assistance to eligible students in need.

The Emergency Stabilization Fund was created to provide one-time funding to LGBTQIA Texas State students to ensure their basic needs are met and that they remain enrolled at the institution. Undergraduate students, graduate students, and alumni within six months of graduation are eligible to apply.

In order to be considered for this award, you must:
• Complete the  request form below
• Complete the Student Financial Information form
• Complete the Code of Conduct and Recipient Responsibility Agreement form
• Provide an unofficial transcript reflecting a Texas State GPA of at least 2.00 and a completion
rate of at least 67%. If the Texas State GPA is below a 2.00 or completion rate is less than 67%,
the applicant’s transcript must show evidence of continual improvement.
• Provide enrollment verification of current or future semester (if applicable)
