Madi Tabersmith is a Texas State alum, a current sociology graduate student, and a staff member, and a previous BPSF scholarship recipient. Her work in advocacy and non-profits began in 2015 when she became a certified volunteer advocate for the Hays-Caldwell Women's Center. Additionally, Madi serves as the Director of Administration for Violet Crown Percussion, a non-profit youth performing arts organization. Madi loves working with LGBTQIA+ Texas State students and is constantly renewed and inspired by what our tenacious students are able to accomplish. Madi lives in San Marcos with her wife, Kristi and their three rescue pitbulls Lemondrop, Winston, and Aria. In her "free time" Madi enjoys working out and watching Saturday Night Live.
